Richard Souther is a composer, producer, arranger, sound designer, and keyboardist whose recordings span contemporary instrumental, sacred, electronic, jazz, and classical/crossover music. His album Songs Unspoken, released under the name Douglas Trowbridge, received a Grammy nomination for Best Recording Package. His work also includes Vision: The Music of Hildegard von Bingen, a landmark recording that brought Hildegard’s medieval sacred music into a contemporary electronic and orchestral sound world.

Souther’s music has been heard in films, television programs, and commercials around the world, with placements and clients including Mercedes-Benz, CBS, PBS, A&E, CNN, NBC, Renault, Fuji Film, Delta Air Lines, Ford Motor Company, VH1, MTV, Bose, the United Nations, The Jim Henson Company, and HBO.

He has also released recordings under the names Douglas Trowbridge and Under the Radar.
